Release validation

Read the local test evidence and remaining verification gaps.

Client date: 2026-10-14. Target selected: Windows servers. Execution host: Windows 11 Home Single Language, version 10.0.26300, x64. Compiler toolchain: Rust/Cargo 1.89.0. VS Code 1.141.0. Node 24.21.0.

Passed checks:

  • Rust formatting and clippy --all-targets --locked -- -D warnings.

  • 87 Rust tests: frontend/formatter/LSP/manifest unit tests, a real stdio LSP session, and native compilation/HTTP/import/test-runner integration tests.

  • Authenticated REST create/read/list/delete and input rejection.

  • 24 concurrent SQLite writes, SQL value parameterization, blocked ATTACH, PRAGMA and explicit transaction operations, separate app database files.

  • Body/path/query/header decoding, request admission and body limits, controlled loop/recursion failure, subsequent service, SQLite persistence after restart.

  • Windows isolated mode: a worker exceeded its 64 MiB committed-memory cap, failed and restarted with a new PID; the catalog app retained its PID and continued serving. These were real Job Object worker processes. A configured 25% CPU hard cap was verified through Windows API readback.

  • Native release compiler, console demo, two-app server and catalog server builds.

  • VS Code JavaScript syntax check, Windows VSIX packaging with the current compiler, and local extension installation/listing as 0.3.0.

  • Eight native language feature/module tests plus five backend language tests.

  • SQLite transaction commit/rollback, retained SQL authorizer restrictions, lifecycle hooks, request headers/IDs, metrics and authenticated graceful stop.

  • Cross-file semantic navigation using unsaved imports, scoped references, checked rename, signature help and content-verified local dependency locks.

  • Backend integration: 22 SQLite tests and 10 live Atlas tests including concurrent version conflicts, worker restart and MongoDB transaction commit/rollback. Dedicated Atlas test collections were dropped afterward.

Documentation website:

The documentation website was also verified locally: 19 static pages, internal links/anchors/assets, and three downloadable artifacts with matching SHA-256 hashes. Eighteen complete language-guide examples type-check. Browser checks cover desktop/mobile layouts, search with keyboard selection, navigation, copy buttons and a real developer-kit download. The website dependency audit reports no known vulnerabilities at the time of this check. This is functional verification, not accessibility certification or public-host qualification.

Not passed / not performed:

  • The full VS Code extension-host test could not start because the installed editor reported its active update mutex. A protocol test and package install do not replace that test; the host runner is provided for rerun after updating.
  • Windows Server 2022/2025 CI has been prepared but not executed in this workspace.
  • No Windows Server test host is currently available.
  • Clean-server deployment, SCM hosting, prolonged load/soak, CPU rate measurements, independent security audit, signing and compatibility qualification remain open.

No throughput/latency advantage, production suitability or security certification is inferred from these functional checks. See release gates.
